First off, I think Jessica and Jeff could be one of the cutest couples ever.
Let’s start from the beginning of when I first met the two.
Jeff reached out to me about photographing their proposal. I met with him at Starbucks in Springfield and we went over all of the details. He had it all figured out just perfectly. They would go to their favorite vineyard, he would mention going for a walk near the vines first, cue photographer hiding, and then he would pop the question. The day came and as I lingered around the vines waiting for the two to reach me, my heart was racing for him! (I’m sure his was racing too!) They walked to the spot we agreed he would stop, he turned to her and lights, camera, action he was asking for her hand in marriage. It was perfect. I stuck around and grabbed photos of the two drinking wine and sharing the good news on FaceTime with family. A few (several) tears later I got to learn more about them both as a couple. I could tell they were amazing together, the real deal. The way he looked at her, the giggles she had every time he spoke, it was adorable. I left happy for the two and honored to be invited to such an intimate and memorable moment in their life story.
From here was I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph the big day. I really love this about photography, building a relationship with people to share with them the big moments throughout the course of their life. Before you knew it, the day was here - and it was beautiful. Starting at the Hilton Hartford to get ready and then to the venue and reception at the Pond House Café in West Hartford. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding overlooking the pond. Beautiful flowers and greens surrounded the ceremony. As Jessica walked down the aisle with her parents be her side, I am pretty confident to say she was the happiest girl in the world. The venue was tucked among a beautiful rose park and moss/vine gazebo, just perfect for portraits. The inside room where the reception was held was long with high wood ceilings, large windows, and strung lights. The night was filled with so much love from heartfelt speeches, the special dances, and the excitement of the traditional Jewish Hora. (Something super fun to experience!)
Everything was lovely. Most importantly the couple was flooding with love for each other.
Thank you Jeff and Jess for allowing me to be a part of it. Wishing you a life time of happiness.
And – as always, a thank you to Carly of Carly Rae Photo for always being an amazing second photographer.
